My Life

It has been a while since I posted anything on my blog, so I'd thought that I would post something....

I am on my winter break- going back to classes at West Valley College in the beginning February (Feb 1st). The classes I am going to be taking are: beginning ASL(American Sign Language), Ear Training- that is a music class.. it helps enhance listening and identifying notes and pitches, intervals, recognizing Major and minor scales and intervals an such. The two other classes are ECE (Early Childhood Education) courses: Children's ways of thinking and knowing and finally, Curriculum, Principles and Practices. It is not a very full load, but it is enough for me!

I am very close in being out of work..I have not been called into work since mid December. I work as a Music teacher and teach the English portion at a private Day Care called, "Happy Discovery Land" I am upset and have been very depressed, there are days where I just sit in my pajamas and mope around feeling sorry for myself. I need to start looking for another job- but it is way too hard. The reason why I have not been asked back is because parents have complained to the director that English is being used more than Russian.... I am sorry people! I am not a Russian speaker!!!! The director loved me....that's all that I know- I wish I could go back to work though! The children were progressing and learned a lot!!!

I did not do too well this semester, A's and C's and one D, but that is a mistake and I need to appeal that. The teacher made an error and will not fix it. So, I need to write up an appeal and send it out. On a good note, I am applying for a couple certificates- so that I can be officially certified to work as either a paraprofessional- which I can do now..or work as a TEACHER at a pre school level- for now....in the future I want to get both my BA and MA in Education- in both Music Ed and Special Ed. I am working towards my AS degree at the moment in Infant/Toddler Dev., Preschool teacher- emphasis on Special Ed and Music.

I went on a mini get a way with my folks for a few days to visit friends in LA. On Monday is Robby Burns and that is big in our family! He is a Scottish dude we remember...lol I don't remember the full story about him..lol.... Next weekend I am attending the Liturgical Singing Seminar at Saint Lawrence Orthodox Church in Felton California. it runs from Jan. 29 - 30. That is a Friday and Saturday.

So, my sear friends, that is all for right now, I will continue writing and I promise to be a better blogger!

I must go now and sleep!

I have not have a good sleep schedule for a while now and that is part of my depression and worries and anxieties.
